Is it acceptable to store belongings in a hotel room for a few days, as I am transitioning between apartments?

DETAILS: My current apartment contract ends at the end of this month, and my new one starts at the beginning of the following month. Give or take a few days to obtain the key, and I have a few days without an apartment, and nowhere to put my stuff.

If I were to check into a hotel during this time (for four days or so), would it be appropriate if I also brought my apartment stuff (not too much, at about 3 lrg suitcases, but also obviously non-touristy items such as kitchen equipment and a clothes drying rack) up to my room as well? Problems from the front desk?

You can leave anything that's legal in your hotel room for as long as you're paying for the room.
