How do you deal with the mind-numbing feeling that you are not where you should be?

I just started an internship that I thought I would enjoy. Its been two years since I graduated college, and I've been yearning for this moment. But after the first week, I have this strong gut feeling that this isn't really what I want, but I can't explain why.

It's not the work nor is it the people. I'm just not feeling it. Imagine going on a date with someone you thought you would be heads over heel for, but the minute you go in for that kiss, you feel NOTHING. That's what this feels like.

I don't plan on quitting - I don't like quitting. And its only three months, and I just started. So its way too early just make a call, but my gut is just yelling man.

What do you all think?

    Welcome to adulthood.

Life is full of anti-climactic moments. It's also full of wonderful surprises, unexpected inspiration and deeply moving experiences.

Our lives are also a product of our choices. So choose wisely.

I applaud your willingness to stick with the internship. It's only three months. You can do anything for three months and it will build your references and resume.

A very wise person once told me that the things that are hard are the ones worth doing. Sometimes things are hard for different reasons, but in general, if it's hard, there will be a reward (even if it isn't clear exactly what that reward will be).

    Good luck!

Bit of a shock going to work isn't it. Same old routine, but we all have to do it.

Life is not a party, we cannot have fun every day, so get on with it.

It is good experience in the real world of working for a living.
