Why is the receptionist at my doctors' surgery always aggressive towards me? What should I do about it?

As I always try to be pleasant, friendly and helpful to everyone I meet, why does this person adopt such an abrasive tone when we have a conversation, almost to the point of rudeness? It begs the question, "Is that the right way to address patients?" I don't have any problem with her colleagues who are all very nice.

    You could make a complaint.

But I've got a feeling that that person upon seeing you remembered of someone else, and got irritated. It's not you, it's just you or your name resembles someone else who hurt that person before.

That's why that person is a receptionist just an assistant nurse and not a qualified doctor. That person need to learn to control/hide hidden feelings.
