Against the wind a small plane flew 175 miles in 1 hour and 10 minutes.The return trip took only nothing 50 minutes. What was the speed of the​ wind? What was the speed of the plane in still​ air?

    x = plane

    y = wind

    speed = distance/time in mph

    x-y = 175/(7/6) = 150

    x+y = 175/(5/6) = 210

    2x = 360

    x = 180

    2y = 60

    y = 30

    x = 180 mph plane

    y = 30 mph wind

    x-y = 150

    x+y = 210
