I want to ask a question about saving lives?
If you child was drowning, and two other children were drowning, and you could only save either you child or the two other children who would you save?
Saving the two other children would make you a great person, but a horrible parent.

Let's say we are at a public pool... My child would be more important that other people's children lol. If I had time go save the two others after I save my own, then I would do my best to save them as well. But, my child is my first priority. The safety of children is the parent's responsibility. If they are not my children, they are not my problem lol.
But if I had a pool in my back yard and my child had 2 friends over, then I would never have them near the swimming pool unless they have been swimming for a year or so. If a child starts to struggle or something, then I would save that child, even if it is not my own. The odds that all 3 of them would be struggling at the same time is slim to none.

By not wasting time and agonising over the pseudo-moralistic dilemma you have invented, I would have time to save all three children.
