After Dems get as many immigrant voters as possible, will they next try to legalize voting while in prison?

So, there's two issues raised here. First, Democrats aren't ticular Lee interested in the immigration issue as a way of changing the electorate. That's just a bonus for them. The ones who are concerned about immigration in the electorate are Republicans, who fear that they will lose power as the US becomes less white. It's true that such a change would benefit Democrats, but it has the advantage of also being the right thing to do. There's a huge difference between doing something bad for political Advantage, such as keeping people from voting, and doing something good for political advantage.

Voting in prison isn't going to be a thing, but there is a push among progressives to make it easier for ex felons who have served their time to regain the right to vote. Remember that these felon disenfranchisement laws originated in the Jim Crow South and were initially meant as a way of keeping black people from voting. Under the Constitution, you can't simply ban black people from voting oh, so you have to resort to various tactics which are, on their face, race-neutral, but which disproportionately impact African-Americans. Felon disenfranchisement was one of these tactics, since the racist justice system under Jim Crow was more likely to punish African-Americans than whites. To this day, because of racial disparities in the justice system, felon disenfranchisement laws disproportionately impact people of color. In many republican-controlled states they act mainly as a disfranchisement tool to keep Democratic constituencies from voting. Some progressives are pushing to revise these laws to make it easier for felons to vote once they get out of prison. After a person has served their time, they should get back the right to vote.

Prison inmates in Maine can vote. Immigrants who are not citizens can't vote.

You should revise your question to reflect factual situations.

They are doing THAT as we we play on the Internet, trying to make as may inane and ridiculous postings as possible. In Maine and Vermont, convicted felons never lose their voting rights, even while incarcerated. Progressives view that as a blue print for the entire nation.
