What is a group of humans called?

So crows are a murder, antelopes are a herd, emus are a mob, and so on. Since humans are animals too, what are we called?

well, you could say family or tribe or crowd. I'm pretty sure it depends on the situation

    A party, a group, a tribe, a troop, a clan, a gaggle, a mob, a battalion, a nation, etc.

    Don't really have one actually.

But you can come up with some that work. Considering that we are social creatures, you could call a group of humans a "Clique". If they're primitive, Tribe is a fitting answer. I refer to the circle of friends my husband and I have as our "Nerd Herd" since we're all into the geekier pursuits.

But one comedian once said it best. "An A$$hole of Humans" really nails it down pretty well in this day and age.
