Harvey Weinstein - should he now be called Harvey Whining?

I find it just a little bit disingenuous that 'celebrities' and others in the entertainment business are now condemning this dreadful, unattractive - couldn't-get-a-woman-unless-he-was-a-powerful-Hollywood-producer whilst they spent years happily posing with him. I don't doubt he's done some very vile things but how does that make him any different from any other male with power in any industry? Everything is hush hush until someone has the courage to speak then it's everyone on the judge, jury and executioner bandwagon. Let's not give him the time of day anymore. No more media coverage and he just might go away.

Update:

couldn't-get-a-woman-unless-he-was-a-powerful-Hollywood-producer. Thank you Yahoo for cutting off my sentence mid-stream

You are right. Extorting sexual favors is his thing. Like Mick Jagger said long ago: It's no capital crime. It is a question of ettiquette.. No place in the courts. Rejection is the usual punishment.
