My whirlpool side by side did the same thing. I had a large upright freezer in my garage, so i moved my frozen stuff to it, then moved the refrigerated side stuff to the freezer side. The freezer side wasn't cold enough to freeze any longer, but worked just enough to be used as a refrigerator.

I used it like that for 3 years

Ur refrigerator is room temp probably because ur not feeding it. People put food inside a refrigerator to feed it, right? So the refrigerator can eat and have energy to run itself. It’s like a human being. You can’t expect a human to run all day without resting without giving her food and drinks, so same thing with ur refrigerator. My advice is to buy tons of food and drinks to put in ur refrigerator. That way it’ll gain energy to operate and the temp will go back to normal as it gains energy! 😀😀😀

Its dead or dieing time to ditch the side by side, I know they are all the rage but quite frankly they suck and don't have enough room. I will never own another one, waiting for mine to die..instead look at a single door with freezer on the bottom. Anyway just my opinion.. Back on track time for a new fridge.

    - Because it's broken?

    - Because you unplugged it?

    - Because there is no power in the house?

    - Because the kids played with the temperature dial?

Why is not as important as how do you fix it. And asking random strangers who are not even able to see your fridge probably won't keep your milk from spoiling. You need to locate the nearest appliance repair store and see if they can give you an estimate on the repairs. Or consider going out and buying a replacement refrigerator.

probably the airway between freezer and refrigerator is blocked.

    try cleaning it out.

Also, clean the dust of the condenser coils and make sure the condenser fan blows air trough the condenser coils.

    check the defrost system.
