What is that bone in our upper legs that is like a muscle called?

You know that muscle tissue bone that's behind you knee on the back of your upper leg that shows when you flex and it feels like a really soft bone cartilage thingy what is that called

    Are you're talking about the the back of the knee, just under the skin when the leg is flexed? There are two prominent soft "bone like" structures?? ...those are tendons. They are the tendons of the biceps femoris and semitendinosis. Both are part of the hamstring muscles that help flex the knee.
