In your opinion, what is the best movie of all time and why?

Honestly, my favorite movie of all time is Airplane, the Zucker Brothers movie from 1980.

There are many great movies over the last 50 years... but I have thought about it carefully, and yes, Airplane is the winner for me.

Every two minutes in that movie, something happens that has me in convulsive fits of laughter. It does that to me every time, and I have seen it so many times. It so perfectly speaks to my sense of humor... well actually, it undoubtedly played a key role in defining my sense of humor. Every time I see it, I laugh harder at certain specific gags, it's different every time.

To some it might come across as just a bunch of silly jokes, but no, NO, it's so much more than that, there is a genius to how this movie is structured and presented as a disaster movie parody. So many movies tried to do the same thing in the 80s and beyond, but Airplane has me laughing just as hard at the start, the middle and the end, and every bit in between. No other movie gives me so much...

My Favorite is not movie but an episode of the old TV Series Angel "Five By Five".

I guess this is quite subjective. Cannot have a water tight answer. Even the same person may keep on liking different movies.
