Do Liberals sometimes have somewhat regressive policies like Obamacare that gives everything back to the government?

Obamacare is not regressive, in fact it's the opposite. A regressive tax is one which takes money more from the poor than from the wealthy. Obamacare mostly taxes the wealthy in order to give benefits to the poor and middle class.

Look, this is really simple. Liberals care about all the people -- including you -- and want them all to have medical help when they need it. I can't imagine why anyone would want their fellow countrymen to suffer ill health with no medical help. Or why anyone would want to pay more for hospitals to cover uninsured emergencies, many of whom could afford insurance.

Well, Obamacare is a bad example, because that's not how it works. But actually, yes. Some liberal policies are unintentionally regressive. Those policies usually get cut down pretty quick, but sometimes they stick around until they do more harm than good.

BQ: The country has been divided along social lines for a long time now. Prior to 2016, it was largely under the surface and in the minds of political bosses. Now, however, the divide has become actively political, with one side understanding that the other side is based on lies, and the political bosses are waging a desperate war to convince each side that it's the other side is where the lies are. Until Americans realize that their enemies aren't each other but are in fact these bosses and their superwealthy handlers, we will continue to be divided unnecessarily in the name of fiscal policy designed to keep our overlords richer than they otherwise should be, and make the rest of us more divided than we otherwise should be.
