Why is gender selection judges wrong or unethical?

As a parent I believe I have my right to choose my baby's gender. For instance I want my first child to be a girl and the second one a boy. This won't create gender imbalance as well as gender discrimination. Therefore why do gender selection judges wrong or unethical?

Look at the country of China. Since it is so over loaded with over one Billion people. A law was passed limiting everyone to only one child! What way to many did was If they had a daughter, they Kill her, even over and over, until they had a son! Now they have all grown up and a great deal of the girls/woman canNOT marry because of the greatly Less amount of boys/men!

It all depends on what actions you’re planning to take regarding gender selection. For example, if your plan is to abort every male embryo until you have a female first, then you are premeditating murder. The Bible teaches life begins at conception. Consider this scripture at Psalm 139:16 which reads “Your eyes even saw me as an embryo.” As we can see from this verse, our Heavenly Father is aware of our existence as a living human when we’re in the womb. On the other hand, if you are simply wanting a girl first, but you will love whatever gender your baby is, nothing is wrong with that. We all have preferences, but being mature means that we accept that we don’t always get what we want, and we do the best we can with what we have. Most important is to remember that children are a gift from God (Psalm 127:3 “Look! Sons are an inheritance from Jehovah; The fruit of the womb is a reward.”) For more information about how we should view children, see www.jw.org. Warm regards.

You are going to love your baby no matter what. Don’t confuse that love with anything else. Having a baby is not like buying a puppy.

Your first unborn child should not be aborted for such a superficial reason.

Let nature do it's work naturally.

It's so much more unique & special than choosing what characteristics your baby should have.

The Gender Selection Judges would be a good name for a band.

If you accept that one has the right to chose the sex (not the gender) of one's children, then you accept that those chosing are able to make any choice. They are under no obligation to ensure a balance. What happens if a society is culturally inclined - as many are - towards preferring one over the other? There is an obvious logical consequence.

By the way, just because you're a parent, your views aren't privileged with any particular insight or wisdom. I don't mean that you don't have either insight or wisdom, merely that simply being a parent doesn't grant either, and I'm not sure why you think anyone needs to know you're a parent to answer your question.
