What does you do after school?

I’m a Highschool sophomore and I literally go home every day, do my homework, watch tv, do push-ups and stuff, and then go to bed. If colleges see this they definitely are not going to accept me even though I have a 4.0. What should I do? What do you do after school?

You're worried because colleges might consider your extracurricular activities, and you want to present the picture of a "well rounded and experienced" individual. You need to become involved in just a couple of things in order to complete the picture, and you need them to be activities which look good to colleges. Consider a club at school. There is probably a club devoted to an activity you are interested in, so look into what's available. (If you don't find one you like, you might consider starting one. The counselor can tell you how.) Volunteer work also is impressive, so investigate organizations in your area which need volunteers. Could you help "walk the dogs" at the animal shelter? Could you "run errands" in a hospital? You can find opportunities to volunteer by searching the internet with the word "volunteer." You don't have to give up your life of TV and leisure. The club activity and volunteer work don't need to be every day, so you should still have plenty of time to do the things you like and are comfortable with. And when the time comes to apply for college, you'll have something to list under "outside activities," and that's really all you need.

Just do all the sports, right now wrestling is your best bet, and maybe if you have a hidden talent you can get a scholarship right there.

NO TV, or severely cut back. Get involved in sports or other physical activities instead of doing a few push-ups at home. Organize your time better. Get involved in school & community activities.

Colleges don't care what you do after school as long as you do your assignments on time. As long as you are not getting into trouble with the law you are good to go.

HA I do the sameeee thing. I'm also a sophomore and mostly I just hang with my friends and watch tv... and do my homework in school bc I'm a lazy ***** and procrastinate everything 😂😂however I have sports and hobbies, like I just joined cheer.. idk how that's gonna go but😂.. I suggest doing a sport at school and if u don't want to do that than maybe join a gym, I found myself being very productive there. Or u could join a out of school hobbie/sport. Also join some clubs and extracurriculars! Gl
