Why do Christians run their mouthes about Free Will then make claims like "God turned a switch in Paul's mind to make him a Christian"?
If God is willing to force the conversion of one particular person why doesn't he do the same for all the others. If a tyrant like Paul gets to see clear miracles that oblige him to convert why doesn't God do the same with all the other unbelievers who would be more deserving of miracles than a criminal like Paul. Now every evil person would demand a clear miracle to believe because that's what Paul got.

The saddest part is, they don't even see the contradiction there.

That is a mis-characterization.
However, no one can become a true born-again Christian UNLESS God gives them the power to do so.
No one.
John 1:12 ~~~ “As many as received Him to them He gave the exousia, the power to become children of God even to those who believe in His name.”
Look, if anybody believes in His name, if anybody receives Him, it is because HE GAVE THEM THE POWER.
They were born, verse 13 says, not of blood, that is not because of some inheritance humanly speaking, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
If anyone receives, if anyone believes, it is because it is the will of God by which God Himself has given the power to the sinner to become His child.
This is just basic stuff. If you do not know this, then I can see how confused you must be.

internal consistency of our world view is not a gift supplied by Jesus

Predestination and free will are not mutually exclusive.
Nor is a father who holds his daughters hand as she crosses the street controlling her unless she's in danger of going astray.
by the way, what mechanism in Secularism/Atheism allows you to have free-will? Your intellectually inconsistent illusion is not my reality!

Are you sure that you know who Christians are though? It's a really simple thing, yet so hard for the whole world to understand. The apostasy which Jesus himself foretold includes all the churches of the world. It is very likely that you were taught untruths about Paul. I don't mean nothin' bad at all, but just am hoping that more people can come to realize the difference between true and false Christianity, while there's still time for i. (But yes, I know many people think that I am stupid, and an awful person). But I can see why the other answerer said what he or she did.
