Hi! Kathy Miller! Have you been to Quora? I think of you when my cat jumps up onto my bed and for a moment, he "flies!" Do you have my email? I don't know about categories on YA, but I'm still connected to a few people. I got this question from you in my email. I got disgusted with all the scorn and insults on YA a long time ago. I think that's why I stopped posting there. I told them. For a long time I didn't post anywhere, and then I discovered Quora. Hope you are well! Judy

Hi friend Kathy Miller, yes as directed by our friends there is category still existing but not ready at hand but some what far away. Now a days interests have got changed and so there is a kind of dullness in YA.

Yes, the Categories still exist, but you have to get at them via a back-door route. Look above your question. Assuming it hasn't been moved, you'll see two buttons that read "Yahoo Products" and "Yahoo Answers." Click the "Yahoo Products" button.

This will take you up a level, to a rectangular box that says "Yahoo Products." Look above that title. In smaller print are a couple links that read "All Categories > Yahoo Products." Clicking on the "All Categories" link will take you (finally) to the category list.

It's dumb and pointless as to why it has been revised this way; but it seems that every major re-invention of this site is a step backwards.

It seems that way and it makes it more difficult to use. My guess is activity has declined and I'm wondering if it's a step toward the demise of YA.

It's obvious that Y!A is not reading comments here. They make changes without explaining them to users, and then make no effort to help users find categories they like .

Yes, they still exist. Click on any category, then click on All Categories in the upper left hand corner and you will see them. Verizon took us back into the stone age with this stupid move.
