Is Time Travel not the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard of or what?

Time doesn't exist, its a man made thing to keep track of where we stand and where we've been and when it was. How could we possibly travel back into something that doesn't exist? It's not like the universe is recording every little move. Some scientist believe in this which is completely ridiculous.

Time travel into the future is possible as proved with the theory of Special Relativity and in fact we do it all the time(the amount of time is incredibly small) but if you travel on a plane then the amount is large enough to measure( still extremely small though). However, we do know that if we were able to get humans to travel very fast speeds then they could travel very far into the future and I often wonder if technology reached this point how our perception of time might change as it becomes normal for people to travel far into the future.

Time travel into the past is normally considered impossible because of all the possible paradoxs. However, the Many Worlds theory of Quantum Mechanics which many physicists think is true states that there are many realities and that would mean that time travel could be made possible by the creation of another reality creating no paradoxes.

Einstein's theory of general relativity does suggest a scientific basis for the possibility of backward time travel in certain unusual scenarios.
