You'll have to cough, because you inhale hot smoke real fast.
The nicotine and tar you inhale will stay the same, as they are inherent in the cigarette. They just will go faster into your bloodstream, so if you're new to smoking, you'd maybe experience a "nicotine flash", a short feeling of dizziness that will go away quickly.
