No. There's no point other than p*ssing off the Arabs. It's not worth it. The US should be pursuing peace, not sowing more anger. Jerusalem was captured by Israel in the 1967 War. Israel's capital is the New City, which has no historical relation to the Jerusalem that Christians know. The holy places are in the Old City. But to put the Embassy in "Jerusalem" would be to instigate Arab anger, because it would be read as an American effort to help the Israelis legitimize their hold of the Old City, which Palestinians want as their capital.
