How to prove that my sister's dog is only pretending to be abused?
I swear upon my honor as an eagle scout that I have never ever done anything wrong to this dog. I swear it. But every single time I am in a room with him he acts as if I beat him when nobody is looking- and that is what my family thinks.
He barks, cowers, and whimpers at the sight of me. Not men, not tall people, not people in red clothes or wearing a particular hat... just me.
My sister is spreading the rumor around school that I abuse her dog, so all of my friends hate me now. I am 18, so my parents are threatening to kick me out of the house if I don't confess and apologies, and that ******* dog keeps pissing himself when he sees me.
This piece of **** is ruining my life. How can I prove that I am innocent?

Dogs don't "pretend" to be abused. They're smart animals, but don't have the capabilities of thinking "if I act like he abuses me they'll kick him out". Maybe you remind him of someone he's had a bad experience with in the past. Maybe he's a sensitive dog and you do things that trigger his fears. Maybe you're harder on him or discipline him more than others. Whatever it is you have to realize that there IS a reason, you just don't know what it is yet. I would work with the dog. Get him use to you and give him gentle attention, slowly. Give him treats, let him lay near you and pet him. Go slow around him. Keep in mind he's more sensitive to you so you have to be sensitive to him.

One of my dogs does almost the same thing but he just backs off and kind of cowers. He did this from day one since I got him as a pup at 13 weeks.I blame it on the breeder.Your sister's dog may think your someone else or maybe it's the tone of voice or something your wearing possibly even the smell of cologne/perfume.

Other than taking a lie detector test at the police station I have NO IDEA. Since STRANGELY when looking you in the EYE when you say you have done nothing to the dog (and despite raising your for the last 18 years and knowing your character) your parents DOUBT you - rather than supposedly SEEING the TRUTH.
I could never EVER get away with lying to my mother, she could see through them every single time - and also had "eyes in the back of her head" as it were. Of course she was also a TEACHER.

By acting your age and not your shoe size, as dogs are NOT capable of pretending or having the fore thought to plan ahead to fake anything, so stop anthropomorphizing the dog.
Besides it's not your dog so you should learn to mind your own business, and seek something more productive to do in your life than meddle in your sister's life. Apparently being "an eagle scout" isn't fulfilling enough....Perhaps additional hobbies may help or furthering your education not only on dogs but on life in general.
Perhaps since you are chronologically an adult at 18 the best thing for you would be to move out so you can experience what Real Life is all about, suck it up, quit whining, life is NOT going to get any easier, hopefully you will get stronger and become an adult.
It's obvious your parents are tired of putting up with your spoiled attitude, perhaps get a Real job and start turning you paycheck over to your parents to make up for the years of care they've provided trying to bring you up to be a responsible adult,by 18 you you should have graduated high school and have a job already.
You've had 18 years of friends/social life, parents have provided, a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food on the table, medical care as needed, nothing cosmetic, and a public education, their job is done, now it's your turn to provide these things for yourself, and anything else you feel you want, like furthering your education.
It's time you put on your adult pants, grow up and experience Real life instead acting like a whining/spoiled child, I'm sure you've heard the saying; "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me."

Dogs are not capable of such actions of pretending to be abused.
If the dog cowers and wets itself when it sees only YOU and does not do this with anyone else then I don`t believe your story.
You have done something to scare or demote the dog, whether intentional or unintentional and it cannot help reacting the way it does when it sees you.
The fact you call the dog a peice of **** (Shyte)? Shows your general attitude towards it.
Maybe the dog "senses" your aggressive nature which you appear to possess given you wanted to carry a sword around with you!!!
Dogs are very good at reading a humans body language.

Dogs can't pretend. The dog is being abused or its simply an unstable dog with bad temperament. Sounds more like you torment the dog when no one is looking.
