Organic Sauce Thickeners?
I'm trying to bottle my BBQ sauce. People love the taste but the biggest complaint I'm getting is that it's too thin and runny. I've been considering using a thickener that won't affect the taste or look.
My sauce is organic so the thickener needs to be organic as well. My sauce also gets boiled when I make it and it gets put in a pressure canner when I bottle it. So the thickener needs to be able to handle the heat as well.
Any suggestions?

Can't you just reduce it down? simmer it for an hour and see if that's thick enough.

cook it longer so it reduces naturally. No need to add thickeners. People complain about fillers, well this is one of them.
You can also simply add less water.

I dont really know anything about cooking but would cornstarch help? Whenever i would help my mom make homemade pudding (which is cooked on the stove) she would add cornstarch to thicken it

The obvious answer is cornflour (cornstarch).
That will thicken it as it's boiled - and it pretty much goes transparent once boiled, so near invisible.
Don't overdo it, try in small quantities first or it will set solid when cooled!
ps. Re. "organic" foods and supplies - it's pretty much an advertising buzzword with no real meaning & the stuff you buy as organic is likely in many cases from the same fields or factories etc. as the general produce.. Likewise "natural", somewhere between meaningless and actually less safe than general supplies.
