Roy Moore is a very bitter, and angry individual. Additionally, he's very miserable.
He knows exactly how his Alabamans supporters are. That's why he can say such a ridiculous thing.

There is no benefit of the doubt for his allegations. The evidence is too substantiating and damning. If the Republicans elect him, they will forever be known as the party of pedophiles

He was also suspended from his bench because he wouldn't stop violating the Constitutionally guaranteed right of same-sex couples to get married.
Republicans are supposed to care about the Constitution, but when it's only gay people then whatever, I guess.
Even if Moore is innocent of all the sexual claims against him, he's still a disgrace of a human being.
