"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States"

Politics isn't about knowledge. In fact, the more you base your opinions on information, the more people hate you because they don't identify with you.
It's about popularity.

Obama got elected 3 times and he signed the Paris Treaty without Congress even perusing the document.
And Barry claims to be a "constitutional scholar".
Hitler was the only other leader who cud get away with that.

Conservatives are brainwashed fools. They haven't been to a class about how our government actually works. So they vote in the first idiot that says whatever stupid thing they want to hear. They don't care if you tell them you don't have to actually swear your oath on anything. To them its about what they want to believe. You can just as easily raise your hand and say the oath. The Bible is just a useless prop in this case.
Ironically they think swearing to an imaginary being somehow makes the oaths more sacred. For all its worth is there a difference if you swear in under the Lord of the Rings. As Frodo is about as real as God is.

That level of ignorance is breathtaking. This moron is a perfect example of your average conservative - too stupid to know they're stupid.
