Why did Evangelical Protestants lower their ethical/moral/religious standards drastically between 2011 and 2016?
They once had very high standards for the personal behavior of a politician, then their standards got much lower.
What's up with that?
1 AnswerPolitics3 years agoWhy is the suicide rate in the Western Midwest and Mountain West so high?
What's wrong with that area's mental health? Why does California have a much lower suicide rate despite being surrounded by suicide prone states?

2 AnswersPolitics3 years agoDid Protestants betray Jesus and their ethics for Donald Trump?
In 2011 PPRI asked people if an elected official who behaved unethically in his personal life could be trusted to behave ethically and fulfill their duty in their public office. Most said "No"
They asked the same question in 2016 and near 2/3rds had answered "Yes".
We all remember who was running in 2016.

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality3 years agoQuestion for Pro-Life Christians- You're in the basement of a hospital, suddenly a bomb goes off...?
...You run for the elevators but you see they're covered in flame.
Then you hear a scream. You follow the scream to find a fat 8-year-old boy in a wheelchair. Right next to him is a large silver cannister hooked up to a tank of compressed liquid nitrogen. The Canister has a sign on it that says "100 cryogenically frozen, fertilized, viable human embryos".
Both the handicapped boy and the cryogenic machine are heavy. You are only strong enough to carry one up the staircase before the hospital burns to the ground. What do you do?
Now, if life begins at conception do you save the boy or the 100 embryos or do you just run away and save yourself?
If you choose to save the embryos what do you say to the boy?
If you choose to save the boy what do you say to the embryos?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality3 years agoWhich of these two conservatives is right about how liberals think?
Arch said :
" Because the radical left will ALWAYS push an agenda that obscures basic binary truths and substitutes FEELINGS for REALITY.
For Liberals, a think cannot be either good or evil. No ... that some of that backwards Conservative binary thing. For Liberals morality must be a sliding scale. "
But numlock said:
"liberals are incapable of rational thought...they have a black/white good/bad mentality....children and overly religious people are the same...."
Is Arch correct or is numlock correct, or are conservatives just liable to pull things out of thin air if it allows them to complain about liberals?
4 AnswersPolitics4 years agoConservatives, where did all your questions about Hillary Clinton's plea bargain go?
I know I answered 2 of them the other day, but not they have disappeared.
Is this some conspiracy from Yahoo to cover up the truth?
Is this conservatives covering up their own tracks since the sole source on that story was Ed Klein, a man who has written 4 books on the Clintons in the past, all full of poorly sourced, sometimes conflicting statements?
Hey... this question keeps vanishing too... weird!
