Which of these two conservatives is right about how liberals think?

Arch said :

" Because the radical left will ALWAYS push an agenda that obscures basic binary truths and substitutes FEELINGS for REALITY.

For Liberals, a think cannot be either good or evil. No ... that some of that backwards Conservative binary thing. For Liberals morality must be a sliding scale. "

But numlock said:

"liberals are incapable of rational thought...they have a black/white good/bad mentality....children and overly religious people are the same...."

Is Arch correct or is numlock correct, or are conservatives just liable to pull things out of thin air if it allows them to complain about liberals?

Neither...both. There are some liberals who are pretty "orthodox": Whatever the "cause of the day" is, you must fall in line with the most liberal attitude. "University liberals" are a lot like this! Then there are those who are more flexible; as long as you are "mostly" liberal, you are accepted. I consider myself a liberal, but I am pro-life (https://www.democratsforlife.org/) and I believe the holy sacrament of marriage is between one man and one woman. On virtually every other issue, I am a liberal. The former group above, the "university liberals", would not accept me, but the latter would. Not that it matters; I believe what I believe.

Most conservatives, especially Trumpists, are not very well versed in political science or theory. They don't really know a lot of liberals personally (I know a LOT of conservatives!), so they make their judgments based on TV and the Internet. They believe what they are told to believe. The statement "...they have a black/white good/bad mentality...children and overly religious people are the same..." would apply far more to conservatives than most liberals, especially the "overly religious" part. Far more conservatives would believe in "moral absolutes" than liberals.

They're both far right conservatives that haven't spent a second of their lives trying to understand the other side. They do nothing but complain about others and can't defend their opinions when challenged. I wouldn't take them seriously.

Neither is completely correct, but numlock is closer.
