Question for Pro-Life Christians- You're in the basement of a hospital, suddenly a bomb goes off...?

...You run for the elevators but you see they're covered in flame.

Then you hear a scream. You follow the scream to find a fat 8-year-old boy in a wheelchair. Right next to him is a large silver cannister hooked up to a tank of compressed liquid nitrogen. The Canister has a sign on it that says "100 cryogenically frozen, fertilized, viable human embryos".

Both the handicapped boy and the cryogenic machine are heavy. You are only strong enough to carry one up the staircase before the hospital burns to the ground. What do you do?

Now, if life begins at conception do you save the boy or the 100 embryos or do you just run away and save yourself?

If you choose to save the embryos what do you say to the boy?

If you choose to save the boy what do you say to the embryos?

Making up stories isn't as beneficial as relaying real stories. Why are YOU an atheist?

The cryogenic storage should be fireproof.

As far as morals about abortion go; I do kinda let it slip that frozen embryos are not like a fetus. If you leave it alone, the fetus is probably going to be a person. The frozen things, sure, after a team of MDs does $200,000 worth of work for a month while you're on bedrest and pills, maybe just maybe one could be person. That is different IMO.

What I notice is, you are still trying to dehumanize the person it will become. A baby kicking your liver is not a frozen viable embryo, it's a living fetus.

Would I save one boy or a pregnant chick? Feminism and Facebook dictate that I will face more suffering for not killing the boy than a North Korean defector does. There will be fat college girls stalking my 5th cousin if they hear I sacrificed the woman for a white boy.

P.S., embryos are made non-viable or expelled with pharma abortions. Surgical abortions are required them to disassemble the fetus inside. Note the word "disassemble."

There's a large explosion! You have the option to save your one child or 3 children you don't know! Who do you save?!

If you save your child, what do you tell the 3 strangers??

If you save the 3 strangers, what do you tell your child?!

Aha! You would probably save your own child. That means you understand that other people's lives are worthless!

    edit:

You don't actually have any kids... oh that's cool, you suddenly want to live in reality.

The point! sgtcosgrove, is that finding one more valuable than the other doesn't equal believing the other has 0 value.

I'm pro-choice, btw, because the woman should have a right to ownership over her body. The fetus has no right to it, just as NO human has a right to her body. I just think this argument is just a bad argument.

I do also believe that the woman and the child also don't have a right to the man's money. If he wants to help, it's his choice.

I would of set the fire, I like to see things and people burn. The fire and screams are so relaxing.

Hmm, interesting. I'm probably strong enough to carry both.

If this ever happens I'll let you know my choice, after I question the hospital as to why an 8 year old in a wheelchair is left unattended next to frozen embryos in the basement.
