Have the attackers get acid poured on them in a public square for all to see.

pour acid on the persons who do it , obviously they have to be caught first.

The easy availability of acids and other noxious chemicals is something that would be difficult to prevent. We could introduce all kinds of measures to limit the sale, but we would end up finding some day to day tasks difficult to do. Besides, there are no end of videos and websites that can show you haw to synthesise corrosive chemicals.

What is required, is a change of culture. We need more youth workers and projects aimed at giving young people positive activities, which direct them away from criminal life.
