If someone with type 1 diabetes ate nothing but meat like the Inuit people do, would they still need to take insulin?

Update:

Thanks guys but that doesn't answer my question. I want to know if a diabetic person would still need to take insulin if they didn't eat any carbs at all and just ate nothing but meat. Carbs are broken down by the body into sugar which you need insulin to make use of, but if you only ate meat the fat in the meat would be used for energy instead. Would you still need insulin if you didn't eat carbs?

Insulin is to cover for food.

Due to the increase insulin types available now type 1 diabetes is very manageable, but there are still a few things you should monitor, fat content, low carb intake, glucose levels, your weight, and a good exercise plan. But yes you will still need insulin. This is because with Type 1 your body does not produce the insulin needed therefore will require insulin shots to maintain your health.

With type 1 you can technically eat just about anything, you are also suggested to eat carbs and monitor your carb intake on a daily bases as well to prevent from your blood sugar levels going to low or to high.

If you was diagnosed with Type 1 its very important to manage your insulin levels and take them also to monitor your glucose levels. Your body produced insulin for a reason without it literally everything is thrown off your entire body, the process, energy levels and so on.If you do not take insulin then or just decide not to you will defiantly shorten your life span eventually leading to kidney failure, nurse damage, heart problems, and eventually can die from it and if this happened your death quite frankly with no sugar coating, will not be very peaceful, it will be painful.

I don't think you're going to be able to eat like the Inuits. It's more than just eating meat. And it's certainly not eating supermarket meat.

No, because they would be dead within a year.
