I think I am allergic to my mom's skin rash. It has gotten so bad, I think it is time to file to make her go into a home?

My mom has Early on set Altimezer's. It has made her stop doing basic hyigene. She had deffective dentures, we had to depose of them. She refuses to change clothes, take a spounge bath, or take meditcations of any kind. To make the situation worse, I need to get her insurance so they will put her in a home. Now it seems I am allergic to her rash and decaying skin & open sores. It makes my mouth red and gums inflammed. Then I have issues with my bowel movements, of course the smell is overwhleming.

My father stole our car titles, including my car, and both of my uncles so we can not put her into a home. My brother's friends and my exes from the arts and former friends in town have shunned me. ODJFS refuses to provide help due to their labeling of children and carrying it on to adult hood. It has gotten so bad, I have had to embarass my favorite music group online for help. Evidently, I know what I have to do and it is tragic. Enough is enough is enough. It is time to let go. Or else, I am moving into a hotel next week on my credit card.

Call Adult Protective Services NOW, if one word of that story is true.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother's condition...and your cars! That's just awful. A decision like this is a very hard one to make because I can tell that you care about her, but think about what would benefit her the most. If you do care about her, it may be in her best interest for you to check her into a retirement home. I worked in one as a dishwasher for my first job. I wasn't a nurse, but I can say the residents are treated really well and they'll be able to give her the things she so desperately needs like a bath and food and medicine whenever she needs it. Plus, now her condition is starting to affect your personal life, and I'm sure she wouldn't want that. And who knows...In a retirement home, she may end up perking up because she should be well taken care of. I'm sure you'll make the right decision for your mother - if you do end up checking her into a retirement home be sure to visit her lots! It was so heartbreaking to see when people were dropped there and deserted by their families.

This is just too stupid to waste one of my witty comebacks on. Reported.
