Did the sexual abuse incident occur because the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses was wrong?

I am Japanese. Please forget incomplete English.

I will ask questions about sexual abuse lawsuit against Jehovah's Witnesses.

_

The organization of Jehovah's Witnesses instructs that do not to spend time with the opposite sex in a closed room or in a car. They also instruct to avoid unnecessary contact with the opposite sex even if the opponent is an elder.

Of course, in case of sexual abuse, it is the perpetrators who are primarily responsible. However, if the parents of the victim were strictly executing the instructions of the organization, they should have been able to avoided the damage.

Parents should bear more responsibility for supervising their children than anyone else.

_

So, did the sexual abuse incident occur because the guidance of Jehovah's Witnesses was wrong?

Or did it happen because parents were not strictly implementing the organization's guidance?

What do you think about it?

There are many cases of sexual abuse by JWs, mainly against little children, coming to light all over the world. Have you not seen this CNN report exposing child sex abuse cover-up in Australia? http://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/australian-royal-c...

According to this source an Australian Royal Commission subpoened documents from the Watchtower Society, which showed 1,006 alleged child sex abusers within Australian JW congregations were not reported to Australian authorities. The figure of 1,006 was the total detailed in Watchtower Society documents from 1950 until the Commission started (a few years ago).

I’m just mentioning the above facts to further show the dire need for JWs to take their rose-tinted specs off and to discover that child sex abuse is actually being allowed in their midst, by Watchtower Society policy of instructing local elders not to report suspects to the authorities first. Until elders report suspects to police authorities FIRST (instead of as a last resort), abusers of children will continue to eagerly participate in Kingdom Hall activities, confident that elders will protect them to the hilt. Of course, if some of the alleged abusers are elders themselves.... well, that’s why JW members must investigate and not accept the lie that the only ones who make claims about this are ex-JW ‘apostates’ with an axe to grind. The Australian Royal Commission is not a satanic force out to ‘get them’.

I pray the day will quickly come when JWs will stop pointing their finger at sex abuse scandals in other religious organisations as their excuse not to bother looking at their own problem.

Do such perpetrators exist only in Jehovah's Witnesses? Also, there is no such perpetrator in the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Japan. What does this mean?

<I am Japanese. Please forget incomplete English> No worries--your English is better than many people here who claim English as their native language.

    .

The potential for child sexual abuse exists in any organization in which adults have access to children unattended by their parents. Yes, there have been scandals in the Jehovah's Witness organization, but also more notoriously the practice was institutionalized by the Catholic Church. Don't forget, though, that one of the big sex abuse scandals in the past few years was the Jerry Sandusky case, in which a trusted college football coach was found to be systematically abusing youth placed under his supervision, so such cases aren't limited just to religion, nor just to one religious organization.

Fake news. What proof do you have? Or do you just want to intentionally ruin their reputation? Please educate yourself and that can't be done by reading anti JW websites.

Your leaders of the JW organization have created policies to protect pedophiles. How thick can you be? Educate yourself.

It happened because positions of power attract people who abuse them.
