Christians, do you really want to live forever?
I know heaven is supposed to be perfect and have no pain. Only happiness. But... for all eternity? Are you sure that’s what you want?

Yes, we do. It's actually really hard to explain to someone who hasn't experienced the goodness of God before. In drawing close to God, it's not like drawing close to something temporary on Earth. I could buy new shoes or a new Cd and I'll get bored of them inside of a year. With God, when I draw close to him, it is like everything is right; like I am where I'm supposed to be. I don't feel the need to go find something else to distract me. I feel permeated by his love and it just expands into eternity. Furthermore, I get the feeling that I am made to be there in his presence. While I still have my choice, by drawing close to him, there is no place I'd rather spend eternity. I don't think it will be boring in the least.

Yes.
Jehovah created this earth so that humans could enjoy living on it forever.
He wanted the earth always to be inhabited by righteous , happy people. (Psalm 115:16; Isaiah 45:18) The earth willnever be destroyed; it will last forever. - Psalm 104:5; Eccl.1:4.

I think when one asks this question that they fail to comprehend exactly what Heaven is, more than likely, going to be like: imagine perfection, that is Heaven. Why would one not want to live in perfection for eternity? Plus, when we speak of eternity, I don't think that eternity will feel like eternity in Heaven although none of us have ever experienced eternity as of yet as we're not in Heaven yet.

Some descriptions of heaven based on biblical passages describe it as everyone on their knees, worshipping their god for all eternity. Now compare that to time scales we know. If someone lives to be a hundred years--a very long life--they have lived 10^2 years. A millennium is 10^3 years. The human species has been around something like 10^6 years. The Earth is about 4.5x10^9 years. The universe is about 13.8x10^9 years. The postulated end of the universe, called the heat death, is supposed to be 10^1000 years (that's a 1 with a thousand zeros after it). [I've seen other estimates listing it as 10^2400 years.] In terms of people on their knees worshipping their god, after 10^1000 years, their eternity is just getting started.
Why in the hell would anyone actually WANT that for an afterlife? Eternal nonexistence is much more preferable.

Time is different when you are living in eternity where a day can be like a thousand years and a thousand years can be like a day. Living in the "Now" in glorified spiritual bodies. God doesn't seem to be bored. And neither will we.

Yes I do. But, I'm looking forward to living for all eternity right here on the earth where God intended for humans to be from the beginning. The earth was created for a purpose.
Isaiah 45:18 says: For this is what Jehovah says, The Creator of the heavens, the true God, the one who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited: " I am Jehovah, and there is no one else."
It's God's choice who goes to heaven. Saying you're going to heaven will not get you there. Being obedient to God and trying to live life according to God's standards and principles and showing appreciation for Christ ransom sacrifice is what will win us eternal life right here on earth under perfect conditions.

You are confused as many are. Only these are promised heaven in the bible= Rev 14:3= 144,000= Luke 12:32- the little flock, only these are the bride of Christ, the anointed. Jesus gave this promise to the great multitude--Matthew 5:5--Happy are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Same reality taught in the ot about Gods kingdom rule--Psalm 37:9-11, 29--The righteous themselves will possess the EARTH and reside forever upon it. Too many listen to the wrong teachers.

You don't like it because you aren't going. Eternity, assshole is NOT A LENGTH OF TIME, believe it or not. It is all time at once
Time and eternity are not the same or similar thing. ‘Time’ as understood, is defined as the progression of moments.
Eternity on the other hand, has no beginning or end, its fundamental unity, its lack of moments, precludes them. Eternity is that which is lacking in time. Aquinas’ intention is not to draw attention to the ways in which time and eternity might be the same, but rather to the fact that they are (and must be) fundamentally different.
