Where is a good place to buy a laptop with credit?

I'm going to college in less than a year so I want to start building credit. I figured that I'd need a laptop so I want to buy one with credit. Where is a good place to buy from?

Also does anyone have credit building advice? My teacher told me to double the minimum balance but I don't know what else.

ANY electronics store that doesn't accept credit cards is not a store you want to do business with.

Get a credit card with a high enough limit and then pay it off that way. However, I assume you wont have a high enough limit on a credit card if you've never had credit before.

That being said, buy a cheap or refurbished laptop. There are dozens of sites on the internet which sell them. I have seen laptops you could use for college selling for as low as $250 or $300. If you need credit to make that purchase, you are in trouble.

First, and most importantly, do not try to buy something with credit now. If you do, then you will be denied, and your record of tried too early will stop you from being able to get credit later.

The first and most important step to building credit is waiting.

You should not try to build credit until you are 21 and have a full time job.

Why did your teacher advise you to pay double the minimum payment? To get it paid off? But you cant always afford to do that. I suggest buying a refurbished one from a recycling center or a used one from a reputable retailer.

    "Rent 2 Own".

Any Credit Card (if you have the needed limit).

Speak with the school, some have requirements for Computers and programs.

They may suggest a model, and purchase location or dealer.
