Determined to Lose weight, Should I take whey/ Diet/Work Out, Any Tips?

Height: 168 cm, 5.52 ft

Weight: 66/67 Kgs, 147 pounds

Wanted weight; 59 kgs, 130 pounds

I am going to gym, have been going for a month now and I m a hard worker, I do the right workout for both weight loss and body toning.

I have currently been on a high protein low carb diet, cutting out rice, pasta, sugar, chips, soda etc... 5 days now.

This step was very great for me because carbs are my weakness and being able to cut them means I have the determination to reach my ideal weight.

I am giving the process time but I would love to see more results by the next month considering all my hard work, I would appreciate any tips to lose all this fat which I do have around my tummy and thighs.

Also,Do you recommend me to consume whey protein?

Thank you

If you're eating low carb and trying to lose weight, it's very essential to include healthy fats. IF you don't know what they are? Do your online research. Weight loss is 80% about what we eat, 20% about exercise. But exercise is very good for us, keeps us toned and strong.

Maybe look at the ketogenic way of eating or Atkins. They recommend calorie intake to be 5% from carbs, 25% from proteins and 70% of your calories from healthy fats. This forces your body to become a fat burning machine. And it's great for your brain.

I DO have a tip. A few tips, actually.

You will likely dismiss them bc SOCIETY tells you to exercise and limit calories.

They're wrong and have the waistline to prove it.

Let's start with WHY you aren't seeing results after a month: the answer is bc exercise has almost nothing to do with fat loss.

The reason that you are fat is bc your brain thinks that you are starving (Are you EVER full before you are physically stuffed?). When the brain perceives starvation, it directs the liver to store all eaten energy as fat.

Now WHY is your brain convinced that you are starving? Bc the hormone leptin, which tells the brain to stop eating, is never being released.

Why? Something that you are eating is preventing it. That something is too much fructose.

Sugar, HFCS, honey, nectar, juice, molasses, maple syrup, white rice and white flour products (most breads, crackers and pastas) are ALL too high in fructose and you eat them every day.

    Obviously they need to go.

Source(s): "Fat Chance" by Dr Robert Lustig M.D. Watch the YouTube videos on the author. I'm not selling anything. Just one previously fat dude trying to pay it forward.

Since you want to lose weight I wouldn't really use whey protein. That's mainly for muscle gain and you'll actually gain weight. However, you can take half scoops, because it's also a great source for recovery. But yes, dieting is the most important part. Make sure you eat a big breakfast and as you progress throughout the day your meal portions becomes smaller. Build up your metabolism and you can snack on healthy stuff like almonds or some fruits.
