Why is Yahoo choosing "Best Answer"?

I thought we are suppose to choose best answers ourselves? I've asked several questions and gone back within a day or 2 to see "Best Answer" was chosen and I never got any notifications. Last time it happened within 2 hours of posting my question. Might happen on this one.

Yes I have seen this happen, as I have gotten one from a while back/long time ago. I think if they have time they can go around and pick a best answer after a long period of time have lapse. Especially from the those auto-bots questions.

So it can work that way too. It is better if users would pick a best answer after a few hours, not from weeks ago also.

I have never heard of this before. Unless someone has your password and is going into your account and doing this. Change your password and see what happens. Yahoo does not do this and Verison has nothing to do with Yahoo operation.
