Is it wrong to disagree with the Florida HS students advocating for gun control? Do I victimize them a second time by saying "You're wrong"?
Basically asking a question that another user was asking in a round-about way; he'll never read my response because for some reason my answers are all shadow-banned and the only way to see them is to click on my profile.

No. They're young and don't even have the full capacity to understand plus they're being used as political pawns

You do. You don't give them credit for assessing their own circumstances. And you weren't even there.
It takes two elements to make a mass killer: a weapon of mass destruction (WMD) and a shooter. Take away one or both, and mass killing would stop.
In our era of ACLU and personal privacy, it's way easier to remove the WMD than to remove the shooter. In fact not all shooters are mentally ill; some are just PO'd (e.g., we had a guy go after his post office buddies because he didn't think he was fairly treated).
So the government buys back all registered ARs. And takes back all non-registered ones with a warning. After a year or so of the buy back program, all ARs become illegal and mere possession can result in appropriate sanctions.
ARs modified or not are weapons of mass destruction. That means they are meant for killing masses of victims and when those victims are school kids....

Not necessarily, but they certainly have the right ( as do you) to express their opinion and have certainly been through enough that their story deserves to be heard.
Just out of curiosity, what part of their plea do you disagree with? Do you think it should have been legal for Cruz to buy his AR-15?

We aren't doing them any favors by agreeing with something that clearly is wrong. Feel bad for them but it is not necessary to allow them to think they are doing something helpful.

How many lives in columbine would have been saved if just one of those cooks in the cafeteria had a gun where the rampage started? We need to start providing school personnel with the right resources to protect the children
