When translating in writing, is the translation in italics or < and >, or other?

I m writing a short story about early Greek life for a class. The Greeks obviously didn t speak English, so when I provide dialogue between them - in English - how do I write it?

A:

"Do I write it like this?" (But in Italics!)

B:

"<Do I write it like this?>" (Keeping brackets)

C:

other

Greek quotation marks and question mark: << Τι κάνεις; >> = "How are you?"

    Source(s): I'm Greek

Punctuation is language specific. If you write in English, you obey the conventions of English punctuation, including your choice of quotation marks..

There's no fixed rule, except that the dialogue (and translation) do not interfere with the reading flow of the story.
