I m writing a short story about early Greek life for a class. The Greeks obviously didn t speak English, so when I provide dialogue between them - in English - how do I write it?

A:

"Do I write it like this?" (But in Italics!)

B:

"<Do I write it like this?>" (Keeping brackets)

C:

other

The PDFs I'm sifting through are a bit messed up and have long descriptions that need to be copied into a single document. When I go to copy-paste them, every character is copied twice.

Example:

"However, due to production scheduling constraints"

Becomes:

"Hooweevveerr,, dduuee ttoo pprroodduuccttiioonn sscchheedduulliinngg ccoonnssttrraaiinnttss"

Not sure why the capital 'H' is only copied once, but losing /that/ I can live with.

Is there a way to remove every other character other than manually? Preferably through Excel, Word, Notepad, or similar. There are MANY documents and descriptions to go through.

I know I could write a program that does this, but copying from my program software is even more tedious.

I am doing my first Nuzlocke challenge for the ROM hack, Omega Fire Red [Please don't spoil anything for me ;) ]. I have been training for the elite 4 and I'm assuming they'll be in the Lv 70 - 80 range for the first time around.

The 5 Pokémon I currently have with approx EVs:

Kingdra [240HP, 252 SpA,16 Spe] [Rain Dance, Surf, Ice Beam]

Forretress [252HP, 252 SpD] [Spikes, Rapid Spin, Toxic]

I am able to get evolutions that normally need to be traded, but cannot get extra items/tms.

I plan to give Calm Mind to Mr Mime to make him a baton passer.

I have already used Psychic on Starmie.

I plan to give Rain Dance to Kingdra.

I plan to give Earthquake to Gyarados.

I plan to give Toxic to Forretress.

I'm considering to give Substitute to Mr Mime unless I'm giving it to a SubPuncher.

Any breed moves are out of the question for this challenge.

Just built my first computer.

I have:

i5-4590 CPU

Sandisk 256Gb SSD

EVGA overclocked GTX 1060 GPU

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I just installed Skyrim and the recommended graphics settings were "High." It started but maintained FPS~ 3 to 5. This makes no sense, it s lower than the FPS my crummy laptop had.

I reduced the settings to "Medium" and "Low", same thing.

Something simple I m missing?

I saw someone mention a similar problem and they turned vertical sync off in NVIDIA control panel s 3D settings, but I can t find this control panel.

My new keyboard is trying to be helpful for gaming by having the wasd and up, down, left, right keys interchangeable. Seems like they were stupid as hell though and instead completely swapped the two.

How do I rebind the keys to normal?

Building my own computer, decided I don't need a disk drive if I'm just using downloading instead of disks. Now I have a problem with trying to get my operating system up and running.

I have the windows 10 disk, I have a laptop with a disk drive, I have USB cables I can use to connect the computer to my laptop, or USB sticks to transfer the download over from the disk.

Would this way work or do I need to get a disk drive?

My monitor came with a VGA to VGA port. My motherboard has a VGA and a DVI port available.

My graphics card has only a DVI port.

I just turned on my computer for the first time, lit up, fans ran fine on both the cpu and gpu.

After hooking my monitor up to the motherboard and pressing the power button (both for monitor and computer) the monitor failed to show anything from the computer.

It turned on and gave its "BenQ" purple start-up screen, but then went into powersaver mode as if there was no input. Then I unplugged the VGA connection and it showed that cancelled - no connection - screen.

I ll continue to check to make sure everything is connected properly, but any ideas of what the issue could be?

(Also do I still get the full benefit of the graphics card when I m connected to the motherboard instead?)

I'm having a brain fart about logarithms. I'm reading an article which claims 5.5log10 reduction is complete inactivation of viruses. This to me means it's 99.99999 percent of viruses eliminated.

Yet log(5.5) in a calculator gives 0.74, I take as 74 percent viruses eliminated.

What am I doing wrong?

Going out to dinner with them later, don't know if I'd prefer to look casual or business-casual. Thoughts?

Amberized NMR tubes are used for photosensitive materials, protecting them from visable and UV radiation.

When looking at tubes to purchase, each product has 3 givens:

- Diameter of the tubes

- Length of the tubes

- Frequency ?!

Ranging from 50 MHz to 800 MHz from what I'm looking at now.

What does this frequency mean?
