How do you feel about Trump’s handling of the Florida school shooting?

Democrat or Republican, has anything he has said or proposed surprised you? Or is this pretty much what you expected?

This is not a matter for Trump to handle. He can offer what ever help there is to the local authorities that are there to handle it. Like most of us he can offer prayers and sympathy to family and friends. The people who want to find out what is behind these shootings we need people who know how it get into the head of these shooters. We have had guns for a long time, bulling has been around as long as there have been people. The problem has never been this bad. People who want to find answers are going to have to dig deeper.

He just mouths off as if he were not president. He's doing about as much good as me or anyone else, which is pathetic considering the power he has.

What exactly has he done to handle it?

The NRA spent $34 million on his campaign, more than any other person. So do you honestly think he will go against them?

Furthermore, he is supposedly the president. So why did he and Pence have to meet with them to get anything done on weapons in this country?

In the face of tragedy, all Trump can produce is pathetic lameness. He's trying to make this country into a privately held business, with him and his kind on the receiving end. The Democrats will have a godawful mess to clean up after he's out.

war of words. Trump in a table meeting of both parties, said he wanted to raise age to 21, and have stronger background checks. just recently the NRA tweeted Trump support strong due process and don’t want gun control. but Trump said earlier that he wants to take guns away first, then due process second.

Trump's response has been remarkably poor. His idea of arming teachers is reckless at best and has displeased moderates and the left. His idea of banning bump stocks and confiscating guns from the mentally ill have displeased the NRA and the right. His interactions with survivors have been broadly panned.

In the face of yet another tragedy, President Trump has once again utterly failed to accomplish anything useful.
