When you say Spanish what do you mean? If you mean someone from Spanish speaking parts of north and south America, he probably has native ancestry giving him more melanin.

A Spaniard from Spain with red hair won't be able to tan much more than an Irishman, although he may HAVE more of a tan since he gets more sun.

Any fair-skinned person can tan, regardless of the colour of their hair. Whoever who says that "gingers cannot tan" is ignorant -- ignore them.

A ginger can tan, just like a blonde can. But:

1) They'll look like Trump.

2) They'll end up having cancer.

PS: Pushing even further South than Spain, you can actually find "a lot" of gingers in Kabylia (North Africa). And those typically have a very pale skin.
