It is good to be skeptical of grand claims.

The main result of global cooling is warmer nights, warmer winters, and warmer higher latitudes.

Yes, people should think for themselves. But most people do not. Then they rely on outright liars like Al Gore. Just look at this:

Greenhouse gases should moderate the temperature making nighttime, winter, and polar temperatures higher. Most of the warming should be from when it is cool rather than when it is warm. In other words, it should be called global temperature moderation but that isn't too scary so they try to invent scary names.

Notice how much alarmists and their sock puppets hate facts and science. They belong to a cult, pure and simple. If you don't believe in their cult, you are an infidel. Ironically science is their enemy and they are menace to both science and freedom.
