20 percent of Canadians and 51 percent of Torontonians were born outside of Canada. If immigration is so bad, why is Canada doing so well?

We have a far better standard of living than almost anywhere else in the world and there are too many reasons to list.

No one ever said that immigration was so bad.... It's illegal immigration that we are concerned about? How many of those Canadian immigrants crossed the border illegally?

Your problem is you think Canada is doing well.

Canada is just a bedroom community of the USA. If you took the USA off the map and put Canada next to Mexico then Canada would reflect Mexico.

Merit based acceptance, perhaps?

Socialists flock to it... and good riddance.

And 99% of people in both Canada and the United States come from families that immigrated sometime in the last 300 years, which is really a very short span of time in human history.

Obviously, if immigration was inherently harmful, the civilization on this continent is a giant mistake. But no one believes that.
