There is such a wealth of manuscripts we can compare them and come very close to the originals, This has provided the master texts from which modern bibles are translated from.

Translations of the Bible have been revised to reflect the changes in our languages. The English we speak today is not the same English we spoke 50 - 100 years ago. Meaning of words change.

Even though people still speak Greek today, Modern Greek is not the same as the Greek spoken and written by Jesus and his apostles. Thus today, Greek speakers must use a 'modern Greek' translation.

Finally from 1870 to 1950, we used the KJV and the ASV (1904) as our primary bibles.

Never. It has been translated and languages change so a revision of the translation needs to be done, but the original words do not change.

The Bible has never been "revised." It has, however, been subject to some shoddy translations in modern times -- to the point that the messages are lost.

The New Testament was written in Koine Greek. Due to Greek being the lingua franca of the time, Jewish Scripture was translated to Koine Greek for the many Greek-speaking Jews. The Septuagint is what we now call the Old Testament.

If you don't read Koine, I recommend the EOB [Eastern Orthodox Bible/New Testament]. For the complete Bible, I prefer Catholic-approved Bibles. Whatever you think of Catholics, they have excellent scholarship.

There are quite a few revisions of the Bible for many different reason, i.e., mistranslations, literary license, political, etc.

The Greek Orthodox Bible, is the most accurate translation. It's hereditary sequence is Hebrew (Torah) ➞ Koine Greek (Septuagint), period Greek (Septuagint/Old Testament) ➞ current languages (Old and New Testaments as approved by the Constantinople denomination).

Order of occurrence of most other versions is Hebrew (Torah) ➞ Koine Greek (Septuagint), Old Latin, ➞ 4th century Latin (Vulgate), ➞ 4th century Latin (Vulgate w/various partial revisions) ➞ current languages (various denominational interpretations).

The English versions I use to communicate to people with is typically the New International Version. I tend to study with the King James Version. When using the Apocrypha I use the online version of the Common English Bible. They all have their issues. But know that a good version involves pouring over the ancient manuscripts and fragments that are currently extant.

A manuscript of antiquity helps to keep scholars from doing what you are suggesting, that a new version is just a revision of the last new one.

Not everyone understands the same thing the same way. Like, there are different books and ways to explain math and come up with the same answer.

There are translations that says the same thIng in the language you can understand. If you were from a different country speaking a different language it wouldn't be a struggle reading the bible in the language you understand. Cause you are more familiar with reading the language you speak.

It's like being in a different country and you find someone who speaks your language...sort of.

The Bible has been revised many of time since it was made but it was revised based on Scrolls and documents that were dug up to ensure its accuracy no company on the face of planet Earth does a better job than keeping up with these revisions than the Watchtower bible and tract Society the New World Translation is the most up-to-date well translated Bible that you can possibly get even Bible scholars that hate Jehovah's Witnesses have to admit that the New World Translation is the most literally accurate Bible on the planet you can compare the words in the New World Translation exactly to a Greek Interlinear or a Hebrew lexicon so that you know for yourself just how accurate this Bible is

It's been rewritten to many times to count mostly by people who have there own agenda.
