It's of no value to anyone at all.

It's something unintelligent kids do when they don't have the intelligence to do anything else.

Yes, some of it provides humour

There's a lot of hate, but the good, well thought out trolls are fun.

I think that it can be, but that it frequently isn't. I acknowledge the argument that some people troll as an act of catharsis... having the internet as an outlet to express oneself can enable some people to fit in bettter with the values that are widely considered to be socially accepable, in spite of the fact that they personally don't subscribe to those values.

Trolling takes on many forms... some of it is quite intelligent, and some of it is just plain dumb.. just plain racism or sexism or some other transparent attempt to insult minorities.

Whether we like "trolling" or not, it's a thing, and it's here to stay. It has been around for most of human civilization in reality.

In answer to your question... yes, I do think it is of value... because it is only by people expressing themselves that humanity makes progress.

Yes, I understand that some people are just trying to hit the most offensive buttons, just insult whomever they can... but every time they do that, it's an opportunity for the rest of us to call that person out on their petty insencerity, and insist on higher standards from those who would be trolls... I think that is a dialogue worth having.

IT depends on the extremity of the trolling
