Should Disney be worried about Marvel films in the future?

The next Avengers film is meant to be the end of the contract for most of the cast. Some of the actors have stated they are not bothered about continuing with the roles. Some may want more money to reprise the role. So they will be losing actors/characters.

They will need to introduce new lesser known characters, and these may not be for everyone ir not everyone is familiar with them

The superhero bubble may burst. Everything as a time and then genres fade i.e. western films

Disney buying Fox. If Disney buy fox, they will get Fantastic Four which could do with a reboot (again) and X-men. People like the xmen films and know the characters and actors, plus they have done a great “reboot” movie in Days of Future Past, so would fans want to see another actor play Xavier, Magneto or Wolverine etc again and redo and force the xmen into a reboot. That goes for Deadpool as well

I just saw the preview for Infinity Wars.........

Marvel is gonna be around a LONG time. It looked AWESOME.

Yes, in the Infinity War saga in the comics, several major characters die.

and that fits exactly in, with several main characters saying they are tired of playing their roles and want to do other things.

and as it just so happens......some of those , are the exact same characters that WERE Killed in the Infinity war comic saga.......so that works out nicely.

many Characters get re-booted in the comics, and the movies will follow the same pattern.

If the re-boots go over well........Marvel has nothing to worry about.- These movies have ALL been wildly successful so far........and Infinity War, will probably break records.

New Dr. Strange movie coming out too..............can't wait.

For the Super hero trend to end.......several movies are gonna have to flop big time, back to back, to signal the phase is being milked out.

I don't see that happening for the forseeable future. Comics are endless.......and have survived thru numerous re-boots........because the characters are interesting, and who doesn't wish they had super powers? It's like an inexhaustible supply of material. .....and I believe there will Always be that geekdom fan base that wants to see these movies.

Especially in these days of COSPLAY and COMIC CONS.........these things are usually PACKED .

    They know their audience.

    Nope

The comic book era is drawing to a close. All you little teens are now in your twenties and most of you should be tiring of the same old comic book plots.

Screw reboots. The Marvel Universe is going to be fine. They already have several popular characters ready to replace Iron Man, Thor, and Capt. America

They already have Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Scarlett Witch, GuardiansofG, Hulk, Bucky, and Falcon. Add Captain Marvel to that as she will be introduced in Avengers 4.

The MCU isn't going to fade away for at LEAST another 10-15 years.

No. Even after the original Avengers like Captain America and Iron Man leave the franchise, they'll still have lots of very bankable superheroes, like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel.

They have several films planned, so they still have confidence in the franchise. As for the new films featuring lesser-known characters, the Marvel movies have all been characters who were not well known to general audiences. Marvel sold Sony the rights to Spider-Man years ago for $10 million. They offered to throw in rights to Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain America, Black Panther and a few others for $25 million. Sony wasn't interested and felt they weren't worth the money since those properties were so obscure. Marvel has been using their movies to introduce general audiences to well-known characters within the comics community. This diversity will help with sales of comics as well as keeping the audiences interested.

Disney is not worried for the time being, as they recently announced 6 release dates for the Marvel films, with the latest date being July 2022.
