Do U feel the students who saw their friends dead on the floor with bullets in their head covered in blood really aren't against gun control?

Young people often have strong feelings about wanting to make the world a better place and certainly the small part of the world they live in....... if they have experienced a negative impact on their own lives then that feeling will be targeted about 'doing' something to change it for themselves or others....... in so far as the US and more gun control because of their experiences it is understandable they want to be seen to express their feelings.

Like in many countries young people have little control about changing any laws however they have the right to make it known how they feel as long as they do so peacefully and not illegally

next year they will vote.

I think that they mean well but aren't developed enough to handle a problem like that appropriately. If they had any sense pragmatism at all, they'd know that the only way to guarantee their safety is to prepare accordingly whether they like it or not. I'm not saying that there aren't legalities that could use some touchup but realistically, none of it will stop anyone. Guns stop guns. They are a deterent, and a precaution. Thats why everything else that we deem important in or society is protected the same way.

How about the inner city Black kids who see people gunned down just about every day in drive by shootings. Why don't you care about them? And just how many of the students who are demonstrating actually say a friend dead on the floor?

Controlling guns sounds good in theory but the fact is if someone is wanting to kill someone else, a gun isn't necessary. Read the news bout knife attacks, poison, bombs, driving a car into a crowd. is controlling knives, cars. poisons and bomb making materials the answer?

Innocent law abiding citizens aren't the people doing the shooting, criminals and mentally ill are.
