You should just not address the rude comments and enjoy each other's company. Good luck developing thicker skin for the people whom cannot wrap their heads around that.

That's just the reality of it. You are both race traitors, at the end of the day... and no matter how politically-correct our society becomes, you cannot remove human instincts. It is human instincts to support our own tribes, our own people, so to speak.
People might deny it, hate my answer, but it's the truth
Men are usually more direct and aggressive about it- calling names and such... Because men have more testosterone. Women are more empathetic and socially skilled, so women who are the same race as the guy, tend to instead just subtly flirt with the guy to try to take him away from you, rather than directly call you guys out.
