Nintendo DS or Gameboy SP?
My 5 year old nephew has been begging for a handheld gaming system for the longest time now. Should I get him a DS or an SP?

an original ds or a dslite can play both ds and gameboy advanced games, so it's the better deal if he wants to play both.
however the ds isn't the most up to date system, that would be the 3ds family of systems which can play both 3ds games as well as ds games. the 3ds also has a virtual console which allows you to purchase older games such as pokemon red and blue or earthbound. the 3ds also has an eshop which will allow you to buy digital versions of games so you don't need to insert a game cart to play that game, the trade off being the extra space it takes up on the system

Unless he specifically wants GBA games, go for a 2DS, otherwise go for a DS lite as that can play DS and GBA games.
