Why are some people so eager to hate?

It's biology, man. No mystery or ideology needed. Our survival instincts are primed to keep us alive. In nature, that means sticking with your tribe and fearing outsiders. Since the outsiders also want to live, you're in competition for resources...every one of them you can kill it drive off means more food in your mouth or the mouth of your child, so you fear them, hate them and kill them whenever and wherever possible.

The trouble is... We don't live like that anymore. It's the same reason we eat ourselves sick on fat, sugar and salt... Those are rare in nature. We don't have to hoard them anymore and we don't have to hate either... But it takes conscious effort to really think about it, decide that your instincts are wrong and then overcome the optimized neural pathways that let us jump quickly on those who are different. And all the while, there are people in some areas like religion and politics who will incite people to hate for their own gain.

There's just enough religion in the world to make men hate one another, but not enough to make them love.

Their instinct for self preservation .

FEAR.

Maybe they are ill at ease with themselves, and feel inadequate.

They hide it by trying to fit in. If that means going with the crowd, so be it.

Or maybe their upbringing has drummed it in to them, to mistrust, to judge, to condemn.

They haven't learnt to think for themselves, be emphatic. That takes guts. A leap into the unknown. They are the problem solvers.

Ever hear of the Neanderthal? They were always described in very bad terms, thick, stupid, ugly, not adaptable, thus it was said they died out!

But according to genetic testing their genes live on in modern men/ women.

Meaning, some of the Neanderthal had children with the non Neanderthal. Whilst the non Neanderthal man fancied the Neanderthal woman, the non Neanderthal woman wasn't as keen on the Neanderthal man! It seems the women were more chossy!I

The bigger mystery just how did they come together?

Did they get together in exchange for food and shelter?

How did they communicate? As it's said Neanderthal couldn't speak?

The ability to speak was said to be an advantage for survival. As this helped them to hunt more effectively.

Before the genetic testing it had been assumed the Neanderthal had died out. The different species of humans had not interacted.

Whilst evolution meant little groups of people eeking out a living. And self preservation taught wariness, caution, at times those boundaries didn't stay intact.

Why? Curiosity? Empathy? Or adventure?

People who nowadays are classed hyperactive, were the perfect risk takers. Their risk taking would determine the outcome for others, and if successful they would have children and pass on their risk taking genes.

The same with people who are dyslexic. They could visualize in 3D. Build, construct etc.

However people may like to be homogenous, there are always those who stand out.

And obviously those who are homogeneous feel threatened, and try to bully them into submission.

Being homogeneous means the power of the crowd is behind them, and they feel empowered together, to commit acts they wouldn't have the nerve for, otherwise. Acting as a mob, isn't necessarily a good thing. Not like fighting off a tiger, lion, or a crocodile.

The quickest way to get people to hate is propaganda. Propaganda sets out to dehumanize the "other / stranger". Than it becomes easier not to see them as human.

Without a shadow of a doubt religion is the single biggest cause of hate on the planet. The most hate is spewed by religion. Without religion there would be a lot less hate.
