    Buy land. And if the economy tanks you can still grow your own food.

    Grab a shovel.

    Find a completely abandoned site.

    Bury it like 5 feet deep,

    Know where the heck you buried it. Have it written into a will, until you yourself pull it back up.

    Kind of depends on your age. If you are around 30, drop it into a variety of ETF's(Electronically Traded Funds) or Mutual funds. If in your 60's, maybe into stocks like Defense stocks since the N Korea situation (bad or good) is heating up right now.

    S&P 500 No Load Mutual Fund. You won't win big but you won't LOSE big either.
