I was having a conversation with a man that I am in love with, & this was the conversation:
Him : You re one of the few people I actually trust and like.
Me: Wow. That means a lot to me.
Him : It s the truth.
Why did he say It s the truth after I said Wow. That means a lot to me? (I don t believe that he likes me, but I Do believe that he trusts me because he constantly lets me know that, not in a way where he is hanging it over my head , but in a way that lets me know that he wants to make sure I know he really does trust me.)

If you want to know what he means by it, then ask him yourself. Although it seems pretty straightforward and I don't really see WTF else you're looking to hear.
If he develops a "You and me against the world" or "We can't trust anybody but each other" attitude, though, then frankly I'd run for the hills because that's a classic sign of an abuser. They want to isolate you from others and make you believe that nobody else but them can be trusted.
